If your server already has the support of PHP, you can skip this and proceed further. However, if it doesn't you must install it before proceeding :-

A good manual for installing PHP5 is available

You can get latest version of PHP from here

You will need a MYSQL database as well for storing data etc.

If you are trying to start the things at your own server, you need to install Apache server for that

For installing a local server for WINDOWS environment, you can go for Xampp installation . It includes Apache, Mysql, PHP, phpmyadmin, FTP etc. So, no need to install each of them separately After installing Xampp, you need to start Apache server using Xampp control panel and start writing your .php files in the local web directory (htdocs)

Once, you are done with PHP installation, lets start our coding in PHP
